WILLINGTON, CT — Two people were hurt in a rollover crash in Willington over the weekend.

The crash took place at 4 p.m. Saturday.

According to a crash report, a 25-year-old Avon man was driving a 2023 Tesla Model Y south on Willington Hill Road in willington. While traveling downhill, the Tesla drove off the pavement, over a rock wall on the right shoulder, according to a crash report.

It then continued forward, struck a tree and rolled onto its roof, according to a crash report.

The driver and was transported by Life Star helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital with undisclosed injuries, a report says.

State police said in a report that the passenger, a 21-year-old from Stanhope, NJ, reported injuries and was transported by EMS to Hartford Hospital.

The crash is under investigation, state police said.
