The Town of Willington is accepting applications for a part-time recording secretary for the following town boards/commissions:

•Board of Education (once monthly, second Tuesday of each month)
•Board of Finance (once monthly, third Thursday of the month)

•School Building Committee (twice monthly, first & third Wednesday of the month)
•Capital Improvement Program Committee (weekly during the months of January/February)
The position is responsible for taking meeting minutes according to the requirements of Connecticut FOI laws and generating draft and final meeting minutes. Boards have set meeting dates, but may require additional meetings throughout the month. Recording for other board and commission meetings may also be available.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma, and experience taking minutes according to the State of Connecticut FOI regulations, or the equivalent of one to three years of administrative support. The recording secretary is expected to work independently in order to complete and revise meeting minutes and have the ability to utilize file sharing such as email, to share files with the Town of Willington. General office skills in typing and word processing user knowledge of personal computers and Windows based software programs is required. Candidates must provide their own laptop/computer for all work associated with the meeting agenda and minutes.
Compensation: $20.00 an hour
