Traffic Stop On I-84 In Willington Yields Drugs, Gun: State Police
A Hartford man is facing several charges after a stop in Willington, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A Hartford man is facing drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 84 in Willington, state police said.
According to an arrest report, at 9:37 a.m. on Jan. 23, a trooper was conducting a speed enforcement detail in I-84 eastbound and stopped a white Chevrolet near Exit 70 in Willington for erratic operation. The trooper, according to an arrest report, spotted "several indicators of criminal activity" that included narcotics activity in the area, which was confirmed after a search.

- Possessing drug paraphernalia near a school
- The sale of a narcotic substance
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Illegal possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
He posted a $250,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Feb. 14, records show.
