Foreign Visitor Caught Driving 122 MPH On I-84 In Willington
A foreign visitor was caught driving 122 MPH on a stretch of highway.
WILLINGTON, CT — A Turkish national was charged with reckless driving by state police after being recorded at 122 mph on a stretch of Interstate-84, state police said.
The incident took place at 10:04 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound side of I-84, a report indicates. A trooper on a speed enforcement detail using a laser recorded a car going past him at 122 mph near Exit 69. The operator was identified by his Turkish passport as 33-year-old Selcuk Yuksel.
He was to appear in couret on Monday, state police said.
