STAFFORD, CT - A utility pole appears to have caught fire on Gulf Road, near the junction of Handel Road, Monday afternoon.
Heavy smoke was covering the roadway around 3 p.m. several wires were downed.
Fire crews and utility personnel arrived around 3:05. Vehicles were being routed down Harvey Lane.
