STAFFORD, CT — A now-24-year-old Vernon man is in custody on a pair of $250,000 bonds after being served two sexual assault warrants related to a relationship with an underage, teenage girl, court papers say.

The warrants were served to Nicholas Desorbo on Oct. 10, state police said. They each charge him with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child for actions that took place in Stafford, according to the warrants.

Parents were alerted to the "possibility of a sexual assault" via messages and diary entries, according to the warrants. The warrants refer to the girl sneaking out of her house and meeting Desorbo to smoke marijuana.
