Welfare Check Leads To DUI Arrest For 21-Year-Old in Willington: State Police

WILLINGTON, CT — A welfare check turned into the drunken driving arrest of a 21-year-old local woman in Willington, state police said.

According to an arrest report, state police received the welfare check request regarding a vehicle on Village Hill Road at 8:17 p.m. Friday.

When troopers arrived, they noticed the 21-year-old in the driver's seat of a Toyota Rav-4 and she appeared to be impaired, according to an arrest report.

Field sobriety tests proved that to be true, and she was charged with driving under the influence, according to an arrest report.
