Welfare Check Leads To DUI Arrest For 21-Year-Old in Willington: State Police

WILLINGTON, CT — A welfare check turned into the drunken driving arrest of a 21-year-old local woman in Willington, state police said.
According to an arrest report, state police received the welfare check request regarding a vehicle on Village Hill Road at 8:17 p.m. Friday.
When troopers arrived, they noticed the 21-year-old in the driver's seat of a Toyota Rav-4 and she appeared to be impaired, according to an arrest report.
