At 11:58 a.m. Wednesday, state police at the Troop D barracks received a report about two men who approached a residence on the 200 block of Woodstock Road while carrying baseball bats, according to an arrest report.
The bystander then saw the men enter a second-floor window, according to an arrest report.

When troopers arrived, they encountered a woman who initially said there was no one inside the home, but then said three others were, in fact, in the dwelling, and the two that entered through the window were not invited, according to an incident report.
The woman told troopers that, in addition to the baseball bats, the men had a handgun, according to an arrest report.

One of the two uninvited men, identified as Putnam 39-year-old resident Reuben Field,
exited the residence and was taken into custody, according to an arrest report.
Hours later, Mark Racine, a 37-year-old Willington resident, exited the residence via a
window and then ran toward a nearby tree line, but was quickly corralled and taken into custody.
State police later learned that Field and Racine traveled to the residence in a stolen motor vehicle.
Field and Racine were charged with home invasion, first-degree burglary, larceny of a motor vehicle and interfering with police. Both were held on a $100,000 bonds and were to appear in Danielson Superior Court Thursday.
