Our Emergency Operation Center was activated yesterday in response to Tropical Storm Isaias. Willington has 38 roads in town that are either impassable (totally closed) or partially closed with trees and wires down. Included in these closures are major through-ways such as Routes 32 and 74. I urge everyone to stay off of the roads and use extreme caution if you must travel if you see trees and wires down.

This morning, we had a conference call with our Liaison at Eversource. While the call was not promising, we will continue to hold them accountable as we work towards restoring Willington. We were told they currently dispatched 350 Line Crews through the entire state and we are working towards securing at least one dedicated crew to Willington. In the meantime, I am urging all residents that have not been successful in reporting outages to continue to try to do so as Eversource is telling us that they are working on their system.
