Willington Sex Charges Added To Man Already In Custody In Enfield Case

Sex assault charges out of Willington have been filed for a Middletown man already in custody for a sex crimes out of Enfield.

WILLINGTON, CT — A 60-year-old Middletown man is accused of having various sex acts with an underage boy in Willington in a warrant released Tuesday by state police.

The man's arrest by state police Tuesday is on the heels of charges filed against him in April for multiple sex crimes against a teenage victim in Enfield.

Scott Predom, who's address was redacted in a state police warrant but is listed in Enfield arrest records as having shacked up in a renovated bus in a Middletown parking lot for the past 14 years, was charged with risk of injury to a child, sexual assault in both the second and third degree, and illegal sexual contact with a victim younger than 16.

He was held on a $750,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, according to an arrest report.

Predom's name surfaced in the Willington case during the Enfield investigation, according to a warrant.

In the warrant, he is accused of sharing inappropriate text messages with the boy, who was known to him. The texts led to encounters during which he had various types of sexual contact with the boy, according to the warrant.

The encounters took place in the summer of 2022 when the boy was 13, according to the warrant. Predom often drove the boy to a cemetery in Willington, according to the warrant. The encounters were estimated at 20 in total, according to the warrant.

The encounters with an underage teen cited in the Enfield case also originated as texts, records show.

Predom is being held at the Hartford Correctional Center in the Enfield case, records show.
