Willington Stabbing Leads To Attempted Murder Charge
A New Haven man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing early Thursday in Willington, sate police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A 21-year-old New Haven man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident at a Willington apartment complex, state police said.
The incident took place at the Woodhaven Park apartments on 80 Cisar Road during the early morning hours of Thursday, state police said.
State police said it appeared a disturbance led to the stabbing of a 27-year-old man.

After what state police termed "a complex investigation" involving multiple state agencies, the suspect was identified as Nevil Manuel Acevedo.
At 7:27 a.m. Thursday, University of Connecticut police observed a "suspicious male" walking around the Storrs Campus and detained him, according to an incident report. He was later identified as Acevedo and turned over to state police detectives, according to a report.

Acevedo was transported and to the Troop C barracks and charged with criminal attempt at murder and first-degree assault.
He posted a a $500,000 cash/surety bond and is due to appear in Rockville Superior Court Friday, state police said.
The extent of the victim's wounds was not divulged in state police reports.
