Woman Arrested After Cane-Swinging Johnson Hospital Tirade: Cops
A woman was charged after a cane-swinging outburst at Johnson Memorial Hospital, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — A 47-year-old Ashford woman is facing three criminal charges after a cane-swinging incident at Johnson Memorial Hospital, state police said.
Tanya Christian was charged on Nov. 6 for the Oct. 19 incident.
At 4:27 p.m. that day, state police were called to the hospital's emergency room for a nurse being "assaulted" by a patient, according to a warrant. A "highly intoxicated" woman had driven herself to a local police department and had just been transferred to the hospital, according to a warrant.

The woman, identified as Christian, was swinging her cane at doctors and nurses, according to a report.
She refused to get into a wheelchair to be taken to a changing area and instead began taking off her clothes on a stretcher and a male EMT apparently saw her before she could get into a hospital "johnny," according to a warrant.

She also threatened to punch a nurse, according to a warrant.
