$1.5 Million Winning CT Lottery Ticket Sold In Stamford
The lucky winning ticket was for a scratch off game, according to lottery officials.

STAMFORD, CT — To say that 2019 has started off quite well for Stamford resident Carmen Chavez Martinez would be an understatement.
Martinez is the lucky winner of a prize worth $1.5 million from the Connecticut Lottery, which she claimed on Jan. 30.
Her winning prize came from the Connecticut Millionaires Club scratch off game, which she bought at Shippan Candies on Shippan Avenue in Stamford.

In all, nine winning lottery tickets - for prizes of $10,000 or more - were sold in Stamford during the month of January, according to lottery officials:
