"Our students were amazing—we are thrilled to once again have a strong showing of students qualify for the national competition,” said Westhill Business/Unified Arts Teacher Karen Kurtz. “These students were very dedicated and worked extremely hard. We could not have asked for a better group to represent Stamford."

According to the organization, FBLA's State Leadership Conferences help students prepare for careers in business by focusing on academic competitions and leadership development. The conference offers opportunities to network, develop leadership skills, and visit exhibitors and vendors. Students, who place in the top four in their event at the state competition, qualify to participate in the National Conference, which will be held later this summer in San Antonio, Texas. At the National Conference, students will have the opportunity to participate in additional competitions, as well as educational workshops, exhibit halls and motivational keynotes on a broad range of business topics.

FBLA-PBL is the largest and oldest student business organization. The organization’s National Leadership Conference attracted participants from across the United States. Participants sharpen their core business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 60 business and business-related competitive events.
