2 Men Charged With Sexual Assault, Unlawful Restraint: Stamford Police

Police said an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by two men in Stamford on Aug. 4.

STAMFORD, CT — Two men have been charged after police said they sexually assaulted a woman in Stamford on Aug. 4.

Arnold Olivos, 25, and Poul Isidro, 37, were arrested recently and charged with first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy and first-degree unlawful restraint, police said.

Police said an 18-year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by two men in a car after leaving a Stamford nightclub on Aug. 4. Investigators quickly identified the two men as Olivos and Isidro, police said.

Stamford police worked with the New York Federal Bureau of Investigation, who found that Isidro had fled the area. He was located and arrested by officers in Cobb County, Ga., on Aug. 5, police said, noting that he was in possession of the car that was used when the assault took place.

Isidro was held as a fugitive from justice and later waived extradition. He was transported to Stamford Police Headquarters on Aug. 18, police said.

On Aug. 6, investigators tracked Olivos to a location on the west side of Stamford where he was arrested without incident, police said.

On Aug. 17, Stamford crime scene and major crime investigators flew to Georgia and continued the investigation, which included a search on the car that was used when the assault took place, police said.

The two men are being held on a $1 million court-set bond.
