2 Republican Board Of Ed Members Miss Filing Deadline In Stamford
The two Stamford GOP incumbents reportedly will not appear on their party's line on the ballot.

STAMFORD, CT — Board of Education incumbents Michael Altamura and Frank Cerasoli will not appear on the Republican line in this fall's election ballot in Stamford due to a mix up in the filing dates, reports the Stamford Advocate.
Both candidates were endorsed by the Stamford Republican Town Committee and remain members of the party. But the group's Chair, Fritz Blau, told the publication that the glitch was due to the nominating convention being held too late.
Now both candidates must gather more than 520 signatures a piece by Aug. 8 to petition their way onto this fall's ballot.
