2018 'Alive@Five,' Wednesday Night Shows Announced In Stamford

The popular summer concert series in Downtown Stamford kicks off June 27 and 28.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford's two popular summer concert series, Wednesday Nite Live and Thursday's Alive@Five, will kick off for the 2018 season on June 27 and 28, according to Stamford Downtown.

The first Wednesday night show on the 27th will feature The O'Jays and opening act Jake Tavill, while on the next night Gavin DeGraw will rock the Alive@Five crowd, with opening act Sir Cadian Rhythm.

Other artists scheduled for Wednesday include Joe Jackson (July 11), and Dennis DeYoung: The Music of Styx (July 25). Among the acts slated for Alive@Five are Sean Kingston & Sammy Adams (July 12), and Gin Blossoms with Tonic and Vertical Horizon (July 19).

Wednesday Nite Live is presented by Morgan Stanley, in partnership with City Carting & Recycling and Purdue Pharma, and will run through Aug. 1 at Columbus Park. Shows begin at 6:30 p.m.

  • $20 Festival Entrance Fee, paid at the gate. Cash only. 12 and Under Free.
  • As is City of Stamford policy, police reserve the right to limit entry due to crowd control, regardless of whether or not a patron has a ticket.
  • If purchasing alcohol, Photo ID is required. (Valid and current motor vehicle operator’s license, identity card issued by the state Department of Motor Vehicles, or a passport along with another form of photo ID with Date of Birth).
  • No entry through restaurant/bar/office back doors. Everyone must enter through single main entrance located on Main Street at Lower Summer Streets with multiple entry portals.
  • Chairs and coolers allowed (subject to search). No glass please!
  • Restricted Items: Glass, Bicycles, skateboards, weapons, firearms, illegal substances of any kind, cameras with detachable lenses, video cameras or recording devices of any kind.

Alive@Five, which is a 21 and over event, is presented in partnership with Reckson & BevMax and runs through Aug. 2. Shows begin at 5 p.m. and also are in Columbus Park.

Restricted Items:

  • No backpacks or oversized bags larger than 18″x14″
  • No coolers
  • No chairs
  • No bicycles or skateboards
  • No weapons or firearms
  • No containers of any kind
  • No liquids or alcohol or illegal substances of any kind
  • No pets
  • No drones
  • No cameras with detachable lenses, video cameras or recording devices of any kind
