Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I wish to continue improving Stamford Public Schools

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Staff shortages and rapidly changing technology. We need to develop more effective methods of delivering instruction.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have 8 years experience on the Board and have developed relationships with local and state personnel. I understand the educational environment of Stamford and I participate in regional and state associations

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Redirect the focus of the Board to academic achievement.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have served as Board President (2 yrs), Fiscal committee chair, Teaching and Learning chair, and Labor chair. I am currently Vice President. I have been on numerous task forces and represented the Board for several community partners, as well as state and regional associations.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Build your resume every day of your life.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I work collegially and, being retired, have the disposable time required to do the job right.
