3 Armed Suspects Rob Stamford Market: Police
Police said three suspects armed with handguns robbed a business in Stamford on Tuesday night.
STAMFORD, CT — Three suspects armed with handguns robbed a market in Stamford on Tuesday night, and police are actively investigating, according to Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin.
The robbery occurred on Feb. 10 at approximately 9:18 p.m. when three suspects wearing mostly dark clothing and masks went into La Marqueta on Myrtle Avenue on the East Side and took "an amount of cash" before fleeing in a dark-colored sedan, Conklin said. No injuries to market workers were reported.
"This is kind of an anomaly. It's not something we see in Stamford too often, especially three suspects all armed with handguns. It's something we're certainly working on," Conklin said.
