4th Annual Masquerade Ball to Unmask Child Abuse on November 16

Helping Break the Cycle of Child Abuse and Neglect in Fairfield County

The Exchange of Stamford invites the community to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of HELP for KIDS: An Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center at the 4th Annual Masquerade Ball to Unmask Child Abuse on Saturday, November 16 at 6:30 PM, at Serafina at the IC, 1620 Newfield Avenue in Stamford.

All proceeds from the Venetian-style, fancy-dress evening benefit HELP for KIDS programs that halt the cycle of child abuse and neglect throughout Fairfield County. Funding from the event supports an array of research-based, multi-lingual services, including home-centered visits that provide on-going counseling to individual families, a nationally-recognized Fatherhood program, parenting skills classes, and more.

Attendees will enjoy a sit-down dinner, an open bar and dancing to one of our area’s most loved rock bands, Free Ride, and a DJ. The popular, red carpet photo booth, exciting raffles, and the silent auction of unique experiences, luxury items, sought-after dining certificates, performances, classes and pampering services, are other highlights.

Dr. Harry Adamakos is the 2019 Honoree. The widely-respected clinical and forensic psychologist will be honored for his commitment to protecting Fairfield County children and his long career advocating for local children and families. Donna L. Miller, HELP for KIDS’ Executive Director for 30 years, will be recognized for bringing help and hope to countless area families and thousands of children.

“This year’s Masquerade Ball will be bigger and better than ever, as we continue to heighten awareness about HELP for KIDS’ vital, child abuse prevention efforts and celebrate its 30-year legacy of giving our children and families a brighter future,” says Andreana. “I’m proud that our Ball won a National Exchange Club Award earlier this year and credit our hard-working committee, as well as the generosity of the countless businesses and individuals who support our wonderful evening of fundraising.”

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, HELP for KIDS is a 501(c)3 organization (formerly known as The Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center) that keeps local children safe while working to build stronger, more resilient, and more loving families.. The Stamford-based non-profit agency has assisted over 12,000 local children since its founding and serves hundreds of at-risk families every year. Experienced parent educators work closely with individual families to provide research-based, home-centered intervention programs and to teach safe-parenting skills - an approach that is highly-effective at halting the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
