Aide Charged with Stealing Elderly Stamford Woman's Checks

STAMFORD, CT—A health aide was arrested after she forged three checksfrom an elderly person and cashed two of them, police said.

Daneica Maxwell, 24, stole the checks late last year and the 73-year-old victim called police, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Maxwell was only able to cash two of the three checks because the victim called the bank to report the checks stolen.

Maxwell admitted that she stole the checks, according to police.
