STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford man on Wednesday pleaded guilty in Bridgeport federal court to a narcotics trafficking offense, according to an announcement from United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut David X. Sullivan.
Brandon Turner, 31, also known as "Bizz," pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, an offense that carries a mandatory minimum term of 10 years in prison and a maximum term of life.
According to court documents and statements made in court, an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit identified Turner as a narcotics distributor, Sullivan said.
In July 2024, investigators purchased fentanyl from Turner, Sullivan said.
On April 21, 2025, employees of an apartment complex where Turner had been employed as a maintenance worker found a tool bag in a storage room that contained approximately 790 grams of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine, according to Sullivan.
Investigators were able to determine through surveillance camera footage and DNA analysis that Turner placed the bag in the room, Sullivan said, noting a related court-authorized search of Turner’s vehicle uncovered additional quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.
Turner, who is detained, is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 5.
The DEA’s Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force includes personnel from the DEA Bridgeport Resident Office, the Connecticut State Police, and the Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford, and Stratford Police Departments.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative officials say "marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime."
