STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford man was arrested last week in Rhode Island after a high-speed police pursuit, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Donald Thigpen, 48, was charged with reckless driving - eluding law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit - first offense, a news release said.
The incident occurred on Friday, May 15, at 1:19 a.m.
"The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the Town of Hopkinton," state police said.
Thigpen was taken to RI State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date in Fourth Division District Court.
