On May 14, the Stamford Hospital Foundation hosted its tenth annual Sail to Sable Luncheon & Fashion Show at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien. This special event was attended by nearly 250 guests and featured remarks from Stamford Health’s Chief Operating Officer, Elizabeth Longmore, as well as event co-chairs, Jennifer Stocker and Anne Sharpe.
The event raised nearly $200,000 to benefit the multi‑year transformation of Stamford Health’s Bennett Medical Center campus, an important next step in the organization’s long‑term vision to expand access to high‑quality, person‑centered care. This $275 million investment will modernize its campus, expand critical services, and strengthen Stamford Health’s ability to remain independent while continuing to invest in its people and the patient experience.
The event also featured a fashion show highlighting styles/collections from Sail to Sable and a video story of Lauren Corcoran, a 39-year-old, active, non-smoking young woman who was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Today, Lauren remains active and cancer free!
