30 Westhill Seniors Complete Academy Of Finance Program

The program prepares students for college studies in business-related fields, including accounting and finance.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools last week announced that 30 high school seniors have completed the Academy of Finance program at Westhill High School.

The Academy of Finance is an intra-district program open to Stamford Public Schools students regardless of attendance zone.

The program prepares students for college studies in business-related fields, including accounting and finance, and emphasizes project-based learning, real-world work experiences and professional skill development.

To complete the program, students must complete coursework in accounting, finance, economics, information technology, financial planning and international finance, as well as an internship.

The Academy of Finance is a partnership between the National Academy Foundation and SPS and has been offered at Westhill High School since 2002.

During the 2025-26 school year, more than 150 students in grades 10 through 12 were enrolled in the program.

Students who completed the program will be recognized during a ceremony scheduled for June 16 at 6 p.m. at Westhill High School.

Seniors are also set to receive their diplomas during Westhill High School's graduation ceremony on June 17 at 5 p.m. at Walter J. Kennedy Stadium.
