Waterstone on High Ridge Sponsors 'Walking Together for a Cause' for Dementia and Memory Care on July 22

The walk brings together community members, senior living residents, and local families to show solidarity for memory care awareness.

STAMFORD, CT. - Waterstone on High Ridge, a premier senior living community operated by EPOCH Senior Living, has announced its sponsorship of "Walking Together for a Cause," an event to help raise awareness and support for individuals and families navigating dementia.

The event features the "99 Days Walk" with founder Donna Spellman on Wednesday, July 22 at 10 a.m.at Waterstone on High Ridge at 215 High Ridge Road in Stamford. The walk brings together community members, senior living residents, and local families to show solidarity for memory care awareness. Attendees can choose to participate in the supportive morning walk or join the courtyard cheer team to root walkers on.

The initiative is co-sponsored by the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging & Independent Living. Following the walk, participants will gather for refreshments featuring lemonade and cookies provided by DiMare Bakery.

To further support the cause, organizers are hosting a $20 "Taste of Stamford" raffle featuring gift cards to local restaurants, with all proceeds directly benefiting the 99 Days Campaign.

"We are incredibly proud to join forces with the 99 Days Campaign and our regional partners to shine a light on the critical importance of memory care and dementia awareness," said Jeanie Ricci, Senior Advisor at Waterstone on High Ridge. "Events like this do more than just raise funds; they build a vital network of support, understanding, and compassion for families in our community who are walking this path every single day."
