New Waterfront Restaurant Concept To Open In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — Building and Land Technology (BLT) announced that the team behind The Quartiere has signed a long-term lease at 15 Harbor Point and is set to open up a new restaurant concept on July 31.

The opening was originally scheduled for July 24, but it was postponed.

The restaurant team is launching KIN Social, a seasonal dining concept presented as "A Quartiere Project," to activate the space formerly occupied by Mexicue, which closed in 2025.

Named after the Italian word for "neighborhood," The Quartiere operates a downtown Stamford restaurant at 51 Bank St. serving handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza and craft cocktails.

KIN Social will offer a waterfront dining experience featuring globally inspired shareable cuisine, an inventive cocktail program and a social atmosphere overlooking the harbor.

"The team behind The Quartiere is exactly the kind of locally rooted, chef-driven operator that strengthens Harbor Point’s identity as a vibrant waterfront neighborhood," said BLT Chairman Carl R. Kuehner in a news release. "Their commitment to quality reflects our focus on bringing exceptional local businesses to Harbor Point and further strengthens the neighborhood as one of the region’s premier waterfront destinations."

The tenant was represented by Don Corbo, president of New England Properties Real Estate LLC.

"The combination of a true waterfront setting, a built-in community of thousands of residents and daytime office workers, and Harbor Point’s year-round events calendar made this a natural next step for The Quartiere team."

Harbor Point is BLT's 100-acre mixed-use waterfront community in Stamford.

According to the company, the development includes more than 4,000 residences, commercial office space, more than 34 shops and restaurants, marinas, water taxis, more than 25 acres of parks and open space, and a mile-long public boardwalk.

Harbor Point is located steps from the Stamford Transportation Center and about a 45-minute express train ride from Grand Central Terminal.
