STAMFORD, CT — Seven people were displaced from two apartments due to a kitchen fire that broke out in Stamford last Friday, according to fire officials.
Stamford firefighters responded at 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 to an apartment building in the 400 block of Glenbrook Road for a reported fire.
Arriving units found and quickly contained a kitchen fire in a rear basement apartment, the Stamford Fire Department said, noting one person was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The American Red Cross helped relocate seven residents, the SFD said.
The blaze prompted 26 firefighters to respond from four different stations.
