Stamford Health Unveils New Odyssey Group Breast Center

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Health last week announced the opening of the newly transformed Odyssey Group Breast Center, a 13,000-square-foot breast imaging and care center at the Tully Health Center.

The project was made possible by a $10 million gift from the Odyssey Group Foundation and marks the final milestone in Stamford Health's Campaign for Women and Babies.

Located on the first floor of the Tully Health Center, the Breast Center brings together advanced imaging, diagnostics and clinical expertise in one location. The redesigned space is intended to improve patient flow, increase privacy and enhance comfort while allowing care teams to collaborate across specialties.

The center is staffed by fellowship-trained surgeons and board-certified radiologists and offers mammography, MRI, ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, MRI biopsy, ultrasound biopsy, high-risk assessment, navigation, surgery and reconstruction. Dr. Mia Kazanjian, Director of Women's Imaging, leads the center.

"Thanks to Odyssey's extraordinary generosity, we are now able to deliver breast screening and cancer care in a setting that truly reflects the excellence, compassion, and person-centered approach that define our mission."

The Odyssey Group Foundation's gift supported the relocation and transformation of the Breast Center, including the continued use of state-of-the-art technology, the ability to attract and retain clinical staff and increased capacity to serve patients.

In fiscal year 2025, Stamford Health says it performed more than 33,000 mammograms, diagnosed more than 250 new cancers and performed more than 250 breast surgeries.

The center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, which is administered by the American College of Surgeons, and is designated a Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology.

Stamford Health was the first site in the nation to receive NAPBC accreditation in 2009 and has been continuously reaccredited, most recently in 2025.
