STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police are investigating what the department described as an "untimely death," according to an announcement Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier on Tuesday, police responded to Stamford Hospital regarding an incident that, based on a preliminary investigation, "does not appear to be criminal in nature," police said.
"There is no threat to the public or the surrounding community," police said, noting no additional information is being released at this time.
Police made the announcement shortly after 12 p.m.
