• Italian Restaurant In Stamford Closes After 5 Years In Business (patch.com) — A well-known Italian spot, Quartiere on Bank Street, has closed after five years, but its team has already opened KIN Social in Harbor Point and a Peruvian favorite, Fiesta On Main, plans to move into the Bank Street space soon. The change follows the recent closure of Fortina Pizza's Harbor Point location, signaling a notable reshuffling in Stamford's dining scene that regulars will notice.
   

• Stamford's Cong. Agudath Sholom Takes Jewish Heritage Trip to France (jewishlink.news) — Members of Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford joined Rabbi Daniel Cohen for an August Jewish heritage trip across France, exploring sites from Rashi's hometown to Normandy's World War II cemeteries. Participants reflected on Jewish resilience, vibrant contemporary French Jewish life, and how to carry their heritage forward, and the shul is already planning next year's journey to Prague, Budapest, and Vienna.
   

• Revolut Gains Conditional U.S. National Bank Charter Approval (nftplazas.com) — Revolut has won conditional federal approval to launch a U.S. national bank that would be headquartered in Stamford, potentially bringing about 160 jobs and $95 million in capital to the city. The digital-first fintech still needs FDIC and Federal Reserve sign-offs, but is aiming to roll out full banking services, from checking accounts to credit cards, by 2027.
