STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Chamber of Commerce will hold its 39th annual meeting and awards ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 24, at The Link, 200 Elm St. in Stamford.
Dan O'Keefe, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and the state's chief innovation officer, will deliver the keynote address. Mayor Caroline Simmons will provide welcoming remarks.
The chamber will recognize Todd Lindvall as its 2026 Member of the Year and BevMax as its 2026 Company of the Year.
"Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 Member of the Year and Company of the Year Awards. We are proud to recognize and celebrate these two outstanding members for their unwavering dedication, exceptional commitment, and meaningful, lasting impact on our community," said President & CEO of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce Heather Cavanagh in a news release.
Lindvall is chairperson of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and area general manager of the Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown.
He has more than 37 years of experience with Marriott International, including more than 23 years in Stamford. Since 2006, he has held several chamber leadership positions and currently serves on its Golf and Nominating committees.
Lindvall also serves on the boards of directors for Stamford Downtown Special Services, Stamford Veterans Park Partnership and P2P, among others. During his Marriott career, he has received the Diamond and Platinum General Manager awards for leadership and performance and is a member of Marriott's General Manager Special Council.
"Working with Todd for almost 10 years has been a true privilege. His support to the Chamber and the community is led by his unmatched passion and dedication as an advocate for Stamford," Cavanagh said. "Whenever the Chamber faces a challenge, Todd is the first to offer support, guidance, and encouragement. We thank him for all that he does that reflects not only a lifelong commitment to hospitality, but also a genuine dedication to people, community and creating meaningful connections."
BevMax is a family-owned, Stamford-based business specializing in high-volume wine and liquor superstores. The company was founded and is led by CEO Michael Berkoff.
BevMax has partnered with the chamber for more than 30 years and has played a prominent role in the Taste of Stamford event. The company has also supported local organizations, events and initiatives in Stamford and surrounding communities.
The Berkoff family's beverage retail roots date to 1933. The family opened its first Stamford location in 1964, establishing the foundation for BevMax.
BevMax has 19 locations across Connecticut, along with stores in New York, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Florida.

Tickets and congratulatory advertisements are available in limited quantities and must be purchased by Friday, Sept. 18.
Registration is required through the Stamford Chamber of Commerce website. The event is for people ages 21 and older.
