Stamford man gets nearly 19 years in prison for role in Connecticut fentanyl trafficking ring (ctpost.com) — A Stamford resident has been sentenced to nearly 19 years in prison for helping run a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking operation based in Stamford and other southwestern Connecticut cities. Federal investigators say drugs were stored and packaged at his Hoyt Street home, where searches uncovered narcotics, a firearm, and cash after a lengthy wiretap investigation.
   

4. 'We feel stuck': Fairfield homeowner says floods have made selling impossible (ctpost.com) — Recent torrential storms dumped 4 to 6 inches of rain on Stamford and nearby towns, contributing to severe flooding that left some Fairfield basements under as much as seven feet of water. Fairfield officials are investing millions in Rooster River flood mitigation projects, while also rethinking emergency alerts after residents reported limited warnings during this highly localized deluge.
