STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Planning Board is scheduled to hear capital budget presentations from eight local organizations during a virtual meeting next week.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and will be held through Zoom and conference call.
Capital budget presentations are scheduled from the Bartlett Arboretum, Ferguson Library, Charter Oak Communities, Stamford Center for the Arts, Stamford Historical Society, Stamford Museum & Nature Center, Liberation Programs Inc. and Stamford Police Activities League.
Bartlett Arboretum Chief Executive Officer Tracy Kay is scheduled to present, followed by Ferguson Library Chief Executive Officer Alice Knapp. Knapp is listed for separate presentations on the library and short-term financing.
Other scheduled presenters include Charter Oak Communities Executive Director Natalie Coard; Stamford Center for the Arts President and CEO Michael E. Moran Jr.; Stamford Historical Society Executive Director Michael Macari Jr.; Stamford Museum & Nature Center Executive Director Bill Brucker; Liberation Programs Director of Institutional Giving Richard Liverano; and Stamford PAL Executive Director Latisha Williams.
The board is also scheduled to consider authorizing a license and operating agreement between the city and Snack Isle LLC for concessions at Terry Conners Rink.
According to the explanatory information included in the agenda, Snack Isle would manage a concession area and sell traditional concessions, food and beverages to rink visitors.
The proposed agreement would run for three years and automatically renew for an additional year annually after the third year.
Snack Isle would pay the city a license and use fee of $9,000 in each of the first two years and $10,000 in the third year, with 3 percent annual increases after that, according to the agenda.
The company would be responsible for permits, equipment replacement and repair, waste grease and oil removal, maintenance of the hood system, electrical service, phone service and Wi-Fi. The city would provide and maintain water and sewer service.
The agreement requires approval from the Planning Board, Board of Finance and Board of Representatives, in that order. According to the agenda, the Board of Representatives' consideration would include a public hearing because the agreement involves the use of city property for a period potentially longer than 90 days.
The Planning Board may also approve minutes from its Oct. 6 meeting. The agenda states that all listed items are scheduled for discussion and possible action.
A general public comment period is not listed on the agenda.
Additional Planning Board capital budget meetings are scheduled for Oct. 27, Nov. 4 and Nov. 10. The Nov. 4 meeting was moved to a Wednesday because of Election Day.
