DARIEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced it will conduct catch basin cleaning on I-95 bridges in several towns, including Stamford.
Aside from Stamford, work will take place in Bridgeport, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, Milford, New Haven, Norwalk, Orange, Stratford, West Haven, and Westport.
CT-DOT notes there will be various lane closures on I-95 northbound and southbound in those municipalities from Oct. 26 to Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"No work will be performed around any state-sanctioned holidays. Traffic control signing patterns and crash units will guide motorists through the work zone," an announcement from CT-DOT said.
Modifications or extensions to the work schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, CT-DOT said. Drivers are being asked to maintain a safe speed when driving in work areas.
