STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford resident recently won $100,000 after playing the CASH5 lottery game, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The winning ticket was purchased at Glenbrook News & Variety, located at 332 Hope St.
Cash5 is a pari-mutuel game with a top prize of $100,000, meaning that all prize winners share equally in the available prize pool monies for that drawing.
The game starts at $1 per play, with drawings taking place daily at 10:29 p.m.
Players choose five numbers from 1–35 or choose Quick Pick and let the computer randomly select numbers. Players can also add a "kicker" for 50 cents and select one additional number from 1-35 for more ways to win.
The odds of taking home the top prize are one in 324,632, the CT Lottery website notes.
