The City Recognizes Achieve Fluency's Work with Autistic Children

In recognition of helping to meet the educational and social needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders for the past 11 years, Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia declared Sunday, May 1, 2011 as Achieve Fluency Learning Center and Consulting Service Day. 

Darien Special Education Director Robin Lawler Pavia presented the proclamation to Achieve Fluency’s Co-Directors, Christine Cukar-Capizzi and Danusia Pawska at their wine and cheese tasting fundraiser held at Stamford’s .

More than 100 guests attended the event which raised $10,500 for student scholarships at Achieve Fluency’s non-profit Summer Program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning challenges.
