Bank of America sends children Back to School with supply drive
Backpacks and new school supplies prepare Stamford children for the new school year
Bank of America donated over 50 backpacks and new school supplies to students whose families attend programs at Building One Community - The Center for Immigrant Opportunity. This initiative was introduced to help ease the burden for children entering school this fall, who are now well equipped with the materials they need to succeed.
School supplies and backpacks can break the bank, especially for families who are already struggling financially. Bank of America wanted to ensure that children could have brand new gear and supplies for the school year.
“We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Building One Community since they were selected as a 2015 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder,” said Carol Heller, SVP, Market Manager, Enterprise Business & Community Engagement. “Bank of America values opportunities like this that help support a vibrant and growing community center and the hardworking individuals who participate in their programs.”
