Stamford Recreation provides lifeguards throughout the summer months at several City of Stamford beaches. All Lifeguard hours of duty and permitted swim area sizes are subject to change based on Lifeguard availability.

STAMFORD, CT – Stamford Recreation Services has released the opening dates and lifeguard hours for the 2019 summer season.
CITY OF STAMFORD BEACHES
West Beach, Cummings Beach, Cove Island Park:
Open weekends only starting Memorial Day Weekend: May 25, May 26,May 27, June 1, June 2, June 8, June 9, June 15, June 16
Open seven days a week: June 22 – September 2
Lifeguard Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Heroy Pool at Dorothy Heroy Park:
Open seven days a week: June 22-August 9
Public Swim:
- Monday-Friday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM
- Saturday-Sunday from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Residents are reminded to purchase a beach parking permit through the Cashiering and Permitting Division at Government Center for use between May 1 and September 30.
