Beiersdorf Opens New North American Headquarters In Stamford
Beiersdorf, the German-based skincare company, has moved its North American headquarters from Wilton to Stamford.
STAMFORD, CT — Beiersdorf, the German-based skincare company that features globally known products like Aquaphor, Eucerin, NIVEA, La Prairie and Coppertone, has opened up a new North American headquarters in Stamford.
Located at 301 Tresser Blvd., also known as Stamford Plaza, Beiersdorf's 27,000 square foot office sits on a 1 million square-foot campus, which is minutes away from I-95 and the Stamford Train Station. Stamford Plaza is one of the largest office complexes in Connecticut.
Beiersdorf's U.S. offices were previously in Wilton.

About 180 employees will work out of the new office, which was designed to "optimize the experience of flexible and evolving dynamic work styles," the company said in a news release Thursday. Employees are not currently expected to return to the office, but the organization hopes to embrace a hybrid return-to-office approach once it is safe to do so.
The campus features amenities such as indoor and outdoor dining at the Terrace Cafe, a state-of-the -art fitness center, a meditation space and dry cleaning services. The LEED-certified, open-concept office has over 250 workpoints, collaboration areas, plus natural air venting and a panoramic view of the Long Island Sound.

Beiersdorf also opened a new innovation center in Florham Park, N.J., the second Beiersdorf center in the world; the other is in Shanghai, China.
The New Jersey facility will help accelerate local innovation and become the first center of excellence for therapeutic over-the-counter and sun care products.
"The opening of our new headquarters in Stamford and our new Innovation Center marks an exciting new beginning for Beiersdorf North America," said Mauricio Valdes, General Manager Beiersdorf North America, in a news release. "These new hubs—positioned in fast-growing, business and science centers close to New York City—demonstrate our deep commitment and investment in North America, and will expand our capabilities, open up exciting possibilities, and be at the heart of our continued growth in this pivotal region."
Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons told Patch she's "thrilled" with Beiersdorf's move.
"Although we continue to navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen a number of businesses move to Stamford over the past few months," Simmons said. "This speaks to the economic vibrancy, quality of life and opportunities our city provides to its workforce and residents. I look forward to working with my team to continue to implement policies that make Stamford the best city in Connecticut to live, work and raise a family."
