Blood Donations Are Needed in Stamford
The Red Cross has scheduled 2 blood drives for April.

The American Red Cross is encouraging eligible donors to give blood during National Volunteer Month in April.
All blood types are needed – especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative – are needed to help ensure blood is available for patients this spring.
So far, there are two blood drive scheduled in Stamford:

April 11: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Ct.
April 14: 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at UCONN, One University Place.

To make an appointment to give blood, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Those who are unable to give blood can support blood donations and invite others to make a lifesaving donation by creating a SleevesUp virtual blood drive at redcrossblood.org/SleevesUp.
