Bluegrass Duo Dave and Emma Hart To Give Stamford Concert
The program is part of the monthly music series at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation.

Bluegrass combo Dave and Emma Hart will lead a celebration of tradional Americana music in downtown Stamford in a concert in the sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 20 Forest St.
The bluegrass concert is scheduled for Friday April 17 at 8 p.m.
The father-daughter team of Dave and Emma Hart started performing together bluegrass together when Emma was 5 years old. Emma Hart won a series of music awards and is now studying jazz at McGill University in Canada. Two years ago, they recorded their first CD “Hold On” in Nashville, with the backing of noted bluegrass studio musicians.

Record producer Jim VanCleave and fiddler with the bluegrass band Mountain Heart praised the duo “this is not just another record … this is about making music that matters with other musicians that get it.”
Dave and Emma Hart play several instruments including violin, mandolin, guitar and dobro, and will be performing with Adam Hines playing banjo and Jay Militscher on bass.

The concert is presented by Art & Soul Productions, a monthly music series to explore live music in an cabaret setting in the historic sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
Tickets are $20 at the door, including wine and cheese. Advance tickets can be obtained through the congregation’s website www.uustamford.org.
