Bosak Health & Wellness Offer Complimentary Advice to Seniors at Edgehill

Family Wellness Advice to Help Minimize Stress

Last Wednesday afternoon over three dozen people attended an educational workshop hosted by Edgehill named “The Talk of a Lifetime.” The topic is of national interest and was offered to the community at large. The workshop was formed to encourage families to become more proactive about putting plans into place to help minimize last minute crises which often happen. Refreshments were served and the panelists were thrilled to answer numerous questions and concerns.

The Bosak Health and Wellness elder expert’s team was formed as a community outreach initiative for the Bosak family business. Professionals partnered from different industries who often work with seniors to help address the array of questions that often come up amongst families. Starting a conversation with seniors and family members about finances, moving, geriatric care and planning for the future can often be daunting. The group emanated to make it easier for families by acting as their intermediary advisor and/or facilitator. The elder experts’ team consists of a Medicare expert, an estates and trust attorney, a financial advisor, a geriatric care expert, a family counselor and a real estate advisor, all who are all predominantly experienced in senior care.

The “Family-Wellness” discussion included: How to minimize stress and worry about aging parents and loved ones, ways to initiate the most commonly avoided conversations, how to enhance your family wellness and how to prepare for your parent’s future living arrangements. The panel also discusses things you need know to protect yourself such as: legal documents, reasons why you need: wills, trusts, living wills and power of attorney. Understanding Medicare options, plans and costs, how to plan and prepare for inevitable family occurrences, next steps and valuable resources for those caring for their loved ones were also topics discussed. “Our team of professionals have an enormous amount of knowledge to share. It is my passion and honor to volunteer our time together to be able to make an impact on the community and in people’s lives,” said Jerry Bosak.
