Boys and Girls Club of Stamford Youth Attend the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Summer Camp

Boys & Girls Club of Stamford youth enjoy a once in a lifetime experience at the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation's summer camp.

Eight lucky members from the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford returned from an amazing week of summer camp which was held in Aberdeen, Maryland at the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation facilities.

The kids, ages 9-14, enjoyed daily instruction on baseball fundamentals, fitness drills, round table discussions on character and leadership, swimming, ropes course challenges and much more. They were visited by U.S. Army representatives, the Maryland State Police K9 Unit and former University of Maryland standout, Ernie Graham who shared some of his own insights and life experiences.

This summer camp experience was made possible by the generosity of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation who has been a strong supporter of the Stamford-based Club for a number of years. Congratulations go out to Stamford’s own Mateo Rios who was named Player of the Week for the Blue5 Team for his leadership, hustle and overall performance (way to go Mateo!!).
