Brazilian Jazz Duo to Open Live Music Series in Downtown Stamford

The concert series is being held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation.

The community partnership Art & Soul Productions is set to open its monthly live music series at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Friday, Sept. 11 at 8 pm with The Ali Ryerson - Joe Carter Duo for an evening of classic and Brazilian Jazz.

Jazz flutist Ali Ryerson and guitarist Joe Carter will perform in cabaret setting in the historic sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 20 Forest St. in downtown Stamford.

The duo will perform a program of music from ‘Both Sides Of The Equator,’ featuring bossas, sambas and choros from Brazil combined with jazz standards and songs from the Great American Songbook.

Tickets are $20 at the door, including wine and cheese. Advance tickets can be obtained through the congregation’s website, www.uustamford.org.
