Police have seen an uptick in burglaries recently.

STAMFORD, CT — Police are warning North Stamford residents to be wary of a burglary wave that has hit the area.

Large homes in wooded areas are being targeted, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police have seen a number of cases where garage doors are unlocked and burglar alarms are off.

A 14-year-old Stamford boy who has been arrested four times in the past five weeks for burglary is a suspect in some Cove burglaries, police said. He has to be released each time he is arrested.
