A Cabaret Night of 1980s Musical Theatre
On May 2, step back into the bold, emotional, and transformative world of 1980s Broadway for an unforgettable evening of music and history.
Cabaret Night at the Stamford History Center celebrates the iconic musicals that defined a decade — from the soaring anthems of Les Misérables to the haunting storytelling of The Phantom of the Opera and the lyrical brilliance of Into the Woods.
But this isn’t just a concert.
Throughout the evening, we’ll weave in the powerful history of the 1980s — exploring how the AIDS crisis profoundly shaped the theatre community and influenced the voices, stories, and urgency of the work created during this pivotal era.
Featuring Mel, Rodney & Friends, with two special guest performers joining for select duets, this intimate cabaret promises soaring vocals, moving storytelling, and a celebration of resilience through song.
Join us for an evening of vintage Broadway spirit, cultural reflection, and unforgettable performances.
6–9 PM Doors Open at 6 PM, Show Begins at 7 PM
