Carpenters Tribute Band Coming To Stamford This Holiday Season

STAMFORD, CT — After taking her show around the country, singer Lisa Rock and her band are bringing some holiday classics to Stamford with "A Carpenters Christmas" at the Palace Theatre on Nov. 29.

Singer and playwright Lisa Rock has arranged a six-piece band, complete with back-up singers, dedicated to creating a Carpenters experience like no other. Rock's four octave range allows her to sing all the Carpenters hits in their original key, keeping the songs genuine and more recognizable for the audience, according to a release.

Rock and her band are also now expanding their Carpenters offerings with a special Christmas show. This holiday concert is an homage to the band's two Christmas albums that captures the feel of the classic TV holiday variety shows of the 1970's.

The concert showcases Rock's vocal talents and recreates the holiday experience the Carpenters made famous, featuring seasonal hits that include "Merry Christmas Darling" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town."
