CEO Steps Down From Stamford Family YMCA

He is leaving for a new position with another organization.

From the Stamford Family YMCA: The Stamford Family YMCA (The Y) today announced that its CEO, Clinton Hamilton, is departing to address another career opportunity. Hamilton joined The Y in February 2017. The board of directors is exploring leadership options. Hamilton will be helping to facilitate a smooth transition.

“It’s been a privilege to work with the Stamford Y – especially to help kick off this year’s 150th anniversary celebration,” said Hamilton. “Getting to know the staff, the members and the community has been a great experience and I’m pleased to have been able to contribute to improving the facility and its operations during the past year.”

According to Herbert Parker, chairman of The Y’s board of directors, the organization is focused on engaging in a process to manage the transition that is both efficient and thoughtful.
