Charter Cable Workers Protest in Stamford

Hundreds of workers protested outside the company's headquarters.

STAMFORD, CT — Hundreds of technicians for Charter Spectrum stood outside the company's headquarters Tuesday to protest proposed changes to their health care and practices regarding discipline for multiple service calls.

The technicians are part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3, according to the Stamford Advocate. Charter proposed ending employer contributions to the union contribution plan.

Assistant Business Manager for the union Lance Van Arsdale also said that workers were protesting discipline that comes from service failures despite the company relying on old equipment.
